Flowers: Densely clustered in groups of 1-6 on long spike-like stem. Yellow with purplish centre. Fruit and Seeds: Spherical, hairy capsule 5-8 mm across. Habitat: Grasslands, open woodlands, disturbed areas, riparian areas, rainforest edges, rocky areas. Distinguishing Features: Distinguished from Great mullein (Verbascum thapsus) by having greener, less hairy leaves with coarse rather than finely toothed or smooth edges.
