Species in WeedScan primarily include those declared or considered invasive in one or more states or territories, with a focus on weeds that have the potential to be very damaging but are either not yet present, are still becoming established or may not have reached their full potential distribution. WeedScan also includes some widespread environmental, agricultural and nuisance weeds, as well as some Australian native plants which may be mistaken for weeds or are weedy themselves.
