Leaves: Lance to oval-shaped narrowing at both ends. 3-9 cm long. With edges smooth or toothed towards end. Flowers: Small, white or pale pink with purple spots. In clusters of 3-8 at the leaf joins. Fruit and Seeds: Fleshy purple to black and circular. Up to 1 cm across. Habitat: This native plant inhabits coastal scrub, dunes, rocky headlands, and saltmarshes.
